CECIL OVERPOWERS HAWKS
February 15, 2008 - Cecil, the number
one team in the country, proved to be too much for CSM, as the men's
basketball team fell 122-79 in the final home game of the season.
Laron Mann had one of his finest games of the season, as he scored 30 points
for the Hawks.
Cecil jumped in front early, scoring the
first nine points of the game. Laron Mann hit a three pointer, his
first of five on the night, to cut the margin to 9-3 with 16:54 left in the
half, but Cecil steadily pulled away to lead 67-31 at the break.
Robert Lowry (29 pts.) and Jabril Bailey (28
pts.) led the Seahawks, as they finished the regular season 26-0.
CSM finishes the regular season 4-21, 2-15.
The Hawks look forward to the MDJUCO Tournament next week, and a possible
rematch with Cecil. |
