| Assistant Coach: J'Vaughn Hawkins (1st Season)
J’Vaughn Hawkins is entering his 1st season for the CSM Men’s
Basketball Team, but it is not his first with the program. Coach Hawkins
graduated from Friendly High School in 1999, and was a key player on the CSM
Men’s Basketball team from 2001-2003. He was the team’s leading scorer
during the 2003 season. From CSM, Coach Hawkins transferred to Coker
College in South Carolina, where he played for two years before graduating
in 2005.
Coach Hawkins has an extensive coaching resume prior
to CSM. He assisted the Maryland Stallions and Bullets AAU programs from
2002-2005, and returned to Friendly where he was the Assistant Coach for
three seasons. He has also spent his summers working with the nationally
known Hoop Group since 2005. Coach Hawkins will have many hats for the team
this year. He will be recruiting players, assisting in on the court
coaching, and will scout opponents.

District Heights, Maryland.
