THREE INDUCTED INTO CSM HALL OF FAME
August 1, 2005 -
Three new members were inducted into the
College of Southern Maryland Hall of Fame on May 18 at the at the CSM Spring
Banquet, held at the Waldorf Jaycee Center. The new inductees are
Ken Barnas (tennis), Liz Estevez Mau (softball),
and Bethany Brady (softball). (more)

MEN'S TENNIS SEASON CANCELED
February 17, 2005 - The 2005 men's
tennis season has been canceled, due to a lack of players. Several players
that had planed to play in the fall, have since changed their minds, and CSM
does not have enough players to field a team.

TENNIS FINISHES THIRD IN REGION XX
TOURNAMENT
Monday, May 3 - The CSM men's tennis team finished 3rd in
the Region XX Tennis Tournament played this weekend at Rockville. CSM's
Chris Myers finished runner-up at # 1 singles. Myers and #5 Doug Frey were
selected 2nd Team All JUCO, as were the #2 doubles team of Doug Frey and Andrew
Smith.
TENNIS FALLS TO P.G.
Wednesday, April 28 - After defeating Prince George's earlier in the
season 6-1, for the men's tennis team's first win in three years, CSM fell in
the rematch 6-3. Chris Meyer won at #1 singles and Doug Frey won at #4.
Chris Meyers and Patrick Magoon won at #1 doubles. The Hawks will compete in the
Region XX Tournament this weekend at Rockville.
Goldberg
Named Tennis Coach
July 30, 2003 -
Julia Goldberg was named Head Men and Women's Tennis Coach at the College of
Southern Maryland. Goldberg has an extensive background in tennis.
She coached this past season at Westlake High School in Waldorf, Md. Prior
to that, Goldberg served as an instructor at tennis camps and also gave private
lessons in her home state of Wisconsin.
"I'm looking forward to recruiting and
building a strong tennis program here at CSM" said Goldberg.
