The College of Southern Maryland Men's Lacrosse program, a NJCAA Division 1 member, is seeking a qualified individual for the position of volunteer assistant goalie coach for the 2014-2015 season. Responsibilities will include the development of goalie skills and abilities, planning and executing of practice and game plans, game coaching, recruitment of prospective student-athlete's, fundraising events, and other additional duties. Individuals must have a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. Previous playing and coaching experience is required. Please contact head coach Justin Ryan for more information.
Hawks finished first regular season with 2-8 record

College of Southern Maryland’s inaugural season in men’s lacrosse has featured both the celebration and challenges that usually come with the birth of a new sports program.
After winning two of their 10 games in the regular season, the Hawks played Region XX tournament host Howard (7-4) in Columbia Tuesday to commence their first postseason experience. The playoff affair finished too late for inclusion into this edition.
Howard was responsible for handing the Hawks their worst loss during the regular season, 29-5 on March 29 on the same field where regional s are being played.
“With this being our first year having a program, any playoff experience will be beneficial to us,” CSM head coach Justin Ryan said Monday, noting that an upset by his Hawks over Howard would most likely advance them to the next round on Thursday. “I expect our players to come out ready to play their hardest and to do the best we can as a team.”
