CSM VOLLEYBALL WRAP-UP Tuesday, November 9, 2004 - The College of Southern Maryland had a rough ending to a terrific year, losing in the third round of the Region XX Tournament. In the opening round, the Hawks were extended to five games as they defeated Allegany 30-18, 23-30, 30-25, 23-30, and 15-11. The win moved CSM into the finals of the winner's bracket where they lost to Catonsville 30-19, 30-22, and 30-24. This sent CSM into the losers bracket, where they had to face regular season champion Hagerstown in the final of the loser's bracket. Hagerstown had fallen to Catonsville earlier in the day but fought their way through the loser's bracket to defeat CSM 30-21, 30-23 and 30-24 to end a very successful season for the Hawks. Hagerstown then went on to defeat Catonsville twice to claim the Region XX Championship. Head Coach Michelle Ruble looked back on the
