VOLLEYBALL WINS RHODE ISLAND TOURNAMENT
Hawks celebrate winning Rhode
Island Tournament

The CSM volleyball team won eight matches
this weekend to capture the title of the Rhode Island Tournament. The
Hawks were impressive, going undefeated in their first seven matches and
winning each game by at least eight points.
The Hawks reached the finals on Sunday, Oct. 7, and faced a strong American
International team who they had defeated the previous day. CSM
suffered their first loss in the first game of the best of three finals,
falling 24-30. The Hawks bounced back with a strong performance in
game two, winning 30-18, before winning a thriller in the championship game,
15-13, to claim the championship.
Chantal Hebron and Amy Schrieber were selected to the All-Tournament Team,
and Missy Chapman was the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
