RED DEVILS TOP LADY HAWKS 67-51 Wednesday, January 15 - Ice cold shooting and numerous turnovers plagued the Lady Hawks, as they fell to Baltimore 67-51 in a MDJUCO Conference game. CSM (2-9, 0-5) jumped to an early 10-4 lead, but Baltimore went on a 20-2 run mid-way through the first half to claim the lead, and led 43-27 at the half. Foul trouble plagued the Red Devils in the second half, and when their third player fouled out with 3:30 left in the game, they were forced to play with only four players. The Lady Hawks had cut the lead to 63-51, but were unable to capitalize on their man advantage, as they only scored five points playing five against four. Baltimore actually outscored CSM 6-5 during that stretch. CSM's Sharron Miles was high scorer in the game with 21. Lauren Owens led Baltimore in scoring with 20 pts., and Shanique Skinner added 18. The Lady Hawks travel to North Carolina for three games this weekend. They'll play Louisburg on Friday, and then participate in the Louisburg Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. |
