LADY HAWKS WIN OPENER Friday, November 7 - After falling behind 6-0, the CSM women's basketball team outscored Valley Forge 39-19 to take a 39-25 halftime lead. The Patriots could never cut the lead to single digits as the Hawks went on to win 86-60. The Hawks pressure defense led by point guard Sharron Miles forced numerous turnovers, and the Patriots couldn't keep up with CSM's fast breaking up tempo offense. CSM's Kaleigha Gray led all scorers with 31 points, and Shanita McPherson added 15 for the Hawks. Gretchen LeVan scored 17, and Ann Scott had 15 points for Valley Forge. The Lady Hawks will host Potomac State at 7:00 in their next game. |
