CSM'S KALEE SMITH SELECTED TO ALL REGION
TEAM
March 6, 2006 -
CSM women's basketball player Kalee Smith was
selected 2nd Team All Region XX. Smith was first or second in every
statistical category, despite missing the last seven regular season games
with an injury. Kalee returned to play in the 66-62 loss to Hagerstown
in the first round of the MDJUCO Tournament, and led the team in rebounds,
while still playing with a tender wrist.
For the season, Kalee led the team in scoring average (16.8), rebounds (234,
12.4 avg.), shooting percentage (49.2) three point shooting (33.3), and free
throw shooting percentage (80.0). She was second on the teams in
assists, averaging 3.4 a game.
