KALEE SMITH SIGNS WITH PFEIFFER UNIVERSITY

Kalee Smith has signed to play basketball at Pfeiffer University next
season. Smith led the Hawks in scoring, rebounding and free throw
percentage last season, averaging 16.8 points and 12.4 rebounds per game,
and shooting 80% from the charity stripe. Kalee was selected second
team MDJUCO as well as second team Region XX.
She scored 34 points in a win over Howard on November 29, 2005, her season
high. Smith led CSM in scoring 11 times last season, and was the
leading rebounder in 17 games, despite missing seven games with an injured
wrist.
Pfeiffer University Head Coach Heather Macy was impressed by Kalee's
versatility.
"We play a Princeton style offense, so our players play
inside as well as outside. Kalee will be posting up inside, as well as
coming outside to shoot 3-pointers."
Smith led the Hawks in 3 point shooting last year, hitting 33% from beyond
the arc.
Coach Macy continued:
"I'm excited Kalee is coming to Pfeifefer,
we're looking forward to having a great season."
