BRITTANY VINES FINISHES CAREER AS CSM'S ALL
TIME LEADING SCORER AND REBOUNDER

Brittany Vines finished her basketball career
at the College of Southern Maryland as the Hawks all time scorer with 760
points (15.8 avg.), and rebounder, as she collected 520 boards (10.8 avg.)
during her career. Vines also finished first in field goals attempted
and made, free throws attempted and made, assists, and steals.
In her first season at CSM, 2005-06, Brittany averaged 16.4 points, 9.5
rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. She was selected to the All
Tournament Team in the CSM Christmas Classic, and was Honorable Mention All
MDJUCO.
During the 2006-07 season she averaged 15.3 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 5.1
assists per game, in leading the Hawks to a 15-12 record, their first
winning season since 2000-01. Brittany was a Pre-Season All American
(3rd Team), MVP of the CSM Christmas Classic, and All-MDJUCO (2nd
Team).
Head Basketball Coach John Mitchell and the women's basketball staff
presented Brittany with her jersey at the Spring Awards Banquet on May 9, to
commemorate all of her accomplishments during her career at the College of
Southern Maryland.
