HAWKS FALL TO CECIL IN ANOTHER CLOSE LOSS

January 25, 2007 - Down to just six players after losing several to eligibility, the women's basketball team put in another superb effort, but came up short, falling to Cecil 76-74.  The Hawks have now lost their last three games by a total of 12 points.

Trailing 42-30 at halftime, the Hawks rallied to pull within two points at 76-74, but could not get off a  final shot after Cecil missed a free throw with 1.9 seconds left to play.

Shannon Wilson led CSM with 21 points, and Tanya Sites added 19 points.

The Hawks fall to 8-8 overall, and 4-4 in MDJUCO.  CSM will travel to Prince George's on Friday for a 5:00 PM game, and then will finish the season with six straight home games, beginning with Dundalk on Monday, Jan. 29 (7:00 PM), and Chesapeake on Tuesday, Jan. 30 (5:00 PM).
