LADY HAWKS FALL IN OPENER
November 5, 2008 -
The CSM women's basketball team lost their
season opener, falling to Potomac State 87-53. After the Hawks scored
the opening basket, the Catamounts used a pressure defense and fastbreak
offense to slowly pull away, leading 42-25 at halftime.
Julieanne Buckley led Potomac State with 22 points, while Denise Johnson had
16 pts., and Amanda McKim scored 15 pts. Chantal Hebron led the Hawks
with 16 points, and Kameron Evans added 12 pts. Hebron pounded the
boards for 11 rebounds, 7 of them offensive.
CSM travels to Philadelphia CC on Friday, and returns home to face Tidewater
on November 13 at 5:00 PM.
