The Division of Business and Technology delivers instruction on all campuses and online designed primarily to meet students' employment-related needs. Career programs, career-related transfer programs, and general education courses as well as related co-curricular and community services are delivered by three academic areas: Business, Economics and Legal Studies, Industrial Studies, and Technical Studies. Courses and programs are developed in response to current and projected local workforce and community needs. Many programs encourage access by high school students through tech prep articulation and transfer of graduates to baccalaureate institutions through formal articulation agreements. Stakeholders, including local employers, are involved with program design, monitoring and evaluation. The division focuses on outreach, access and students' success relative to their stated educational goals.
Some of our programs are recognized by national or regional organizations such as our Business Administration degree accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), our Information Systems Security degree certified to meet the 4011, 4013 National Security Standards by the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS), a division of the National Security Agency (NSA).
