St. Charles Children's
Learning Center at CSM
"Where learning is child's play."
Why it is Needed: Among the top five issues confronting CSM students is "finding dependable and affordable childcare." More than 80% of today's CSM students work while attending college, and one third of CSM students, faculty and staff have current or future child care needs. CSM is one of the only community colleges in the state that does not provide child care services to its students. Access to quality and affordable child care can improve recruitment, retention, and the educational outcomes of students while enhancing their children's experiences.
The Children's Learning Center, built on the La Plata Campus, is a state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot child care and learning facility serving approximately 115 children.
