Pulse of Southern Maryland

CSM student volunteers take the Pulse of Southern Maryland each fall and spring semester, surveying Southern Maryland residents on various issues and trends. Since Fall 2008, CSM has provided the Southern Maryland community with feedback and trends on subjects such as military presence in the region, healthcare, recreation, energy, transportation and Internet access.

The results are provided to local media for reporting in the Southern Maryland Newspapers.

The college has earned bronze recognition from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations, District I for its work on this initiative.
