Children's Theatre performance

Children and families can experience the theatre right here at CSM! With performances that highlight fanciful wishes and adventures, kick start your child’s love of theatre and the stage. We often add weekday matinees to the schedule to allow schools and homeschool groups to see the performances, which are held at the La Plata Campus, Fine Arts Center, Theatre.

CSM offers theatre workshops and classes for kids through the CSM Kids' and Teen College.

This dramatization of C.S. Lewis' classic, set in the land of Narnia, faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan.

One of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back--braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she's joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O'Keefe and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract.

Girl loves stuffed animal. Girl loses beloved animal. Girl fights to get animal back. Trixie, her father, and her favorite stuffed bunny set off on a trip to the laundromat. The trip brings wonder, excitement and joy to the lively toddler, until she realizes she has left her Knuffle Bunny back at the laundromat. Trixie does everything in her power to make her father understand the emergency, but her father fails to see the issue at hand.

This play was commissioned by and first produced at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
