Faculty and Staff WebCT Resources
Process for developing web-based, web-hybrid, and web-enhanced courses:
- Contact your Department Chair and your departmental WebCT liaison to discuss your intentions to develop a web-based, web-hybrid, or web-enhanced course.
- Meet with Faculty Development Coordinator to discuss teaching methods and techniques for use in web-based, web-hybrid, and web-enhanced courses.
- Discuss course design and storyboard the course with the Faculty Development Coordinator.
- Attend required training.
- Develop and deliver your course.
Faculty will be assigned a mentor (trainer, member of ITC, or course-content specialist) who will work with faculty through the development and delivery of the course.
Training: The Faculty Development Committee and the Innovative Teaching Center offers a WebCT workshop series for faculty. See the Innovative Teaching Center calendar for upcoming training.

WebCT Support: The WebCT liaisons, the Faculty Development Coordinator, and the Instructional Technology Coordinator are the primary contact for faculty needing assistance with WebCT. Students who are registered for a Web-based, Web-hybrid, or Web-enhanced course, and who experience technical difficulties, should contact the HELP Desk at (301) 934-2251 ext. 4357. Technical difficulties may include: logging on to their course, or determining their User ID or Password. Students should be referred to the CSM Help Desk. If you need general assistance learning and using WebCT, try the WebCT Support Page. This is a great resource, and has a search feature to help you find answers.
Miscellaneous Resources: Are you trying to find the PowerPoint viewer for students to download to view your online PowerPoint slides? Having display problems with students who created web pages using Word 2000?
