Preparing students, ages 11-27, for college and a career.

 

Student Services

Educational Talent Search (ETS) provides student support services to those who attend Charles County public middle and high school, as well as adults seeking high school and post secondary degrees. Most services are FREE to qualifying students. These services are broken down into three levels: middle school, high school and adult levels.

Middle School Level

  • Academic, Personal Group and Peer Counseling
  • High School Course Advisement
  • High School/ College Orientation
  • Tutoring (During and After School)
  • Workshops (test taking skills, time management, healthy decision making )
  • Summer Programs
  • Field Trips and Cultural Visits
  • Parental Involvement
  • Maryland Functional Test Preparation

High School Level

  • Academic, Personal Group and Peer Counseling
  • High School Course Advisement
  • College Orientation
  • College Tours
  • Field Trips and Cultural Visits
  • Workshops (test taking skills, time management, healthy decision making, FAFSA)
  • Summer Programs
  • Career Orientation
  • SAT/ACT Preparation (testing waivers granted for qualifying student)
  • Tutoring (During and After School)
  • Financial Aid Counseling
  • Scholarship Research Assistance
  • College Admissions Assistance

Adult Level

  • Academic, Personal Group and Peer Counseling
  • College Orientation
  • Career Orientation
  • Referrals to other appropriate community service agencies as needed
  • Financial Aid Counseling
  • Tutoring
  • College Admissions Assistance

Parents

Parents are encouraged to attend workshops and college tours.
