Payment Options
Using CSM's Tuition Payment Plan is simple. Just complete and sign
our Automatic Tuition Payment Form. You may budget your tuition and fees
in one of two ways:
Automatic Bank Payment: ACH payments
ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process
directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank
transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at the
College of Southern Maryland. Payments may be made from either your
checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 20th of
each month and will continue until the balance due the college is paid
in full.
Credit Card Option: Many students and
families have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition
payment to VISA or MasterCard. This enables you to take advantage of
various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. If you
elect to budget your expenses by using your credit card, it will be
automatically charged on the 20th of each month. The payment amount
is specified on the FACTS agreement and will continue until the balance
due is paid in full. All credit cards will be processed by FACTS Card
Services.
Completing the FACTS Agreement
When you submit the written agreement, be sure you have the following
information:
- Your student ID as assigned by CSM.
- The name, address, and E-mail address of the person responsible
for making the payments.
- Account information for the responsible person. For example, if
you are paying by automatic bank payments, you will need the bank name,
telephone number, account number, and the bank routing number. Most
of this information is located on your check. You will need to attach
a voided check to the agreement; if you are paying by credit card,
you will need the credit card number and the expiration date.
Information on Missed Payments
Should an automatic bank payment or credit card payment be missed,
a $25.00 FACTS Missed Payment Fee will be automatically assessed to your
account. You will be notified by FACTS of the missed payment via postal
mail or e-mail.
Budget Worksheet
The following budget worksheet is to be used as a guide to determine
your college expenses and credits. Determine the total of your tuition
and fees. Deduct any credits or payments you have made. The balance is
the amount due to the college.
