Chautauqua 2008: Civil Rights: Taking A Stand
July 7 - 10, 2008

Free to the public, Chautauqua is held under the big tent on the HT Lawn on the
La Plata Campus. Incase of inclement weather, the program will take place
in the Fine Arts Center Theatre. All ages are welcome to
bring a picnic basket (but leave the alcoholic beverages at home!) Seating
in chairs is available.
Musical opening acts begin at 7:00 p.m. with the featured
Chautauquan taking stage at 7:30 p.m.

*Chautauqua is a program of the Maryland Humanities Council
presented in partnership with the College of Southern Maryland. The Maryland
Humanities Council, Inc. is an independent, non-profit organization which
receives support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Maryland
Division of Historical and Cultural Programs, corporations, foundations, and
individuals.
