Chamber Singers

Choir rehearsal schedule

The twenty voice Chamber Singers, is considered one of the finest a cappella ensembles in the region.  The Chamber Singers have performed dozens of concert programs for public and private schools, as well as many churches and community venues throughout Southern Maryland and the Washington Metropolitan Region. 

The Chamber Singers recently embarked on a 15 day concert tour of Germany and Austria from July 12 through July 27, 2006.  And in April 2006 the choir hosted the first Maryland Community College Choral Festival at the Fine Arts Center.  Professor Cyril Stretansky from Susquehanna University as the Choral clinician and composer Daniel Gawthrop led master classes on his choral music performed by each attending choir.

The Chamber Singers just came off a regional tour this spring.  The program included a world premier of Ave Verum Corpus by CSM student Andrew Dias III.

College Credit

You can receive college credit as a member of the Chamber Singers.  Each is offered as a one credit course through CSM.  Chamber Singers is MUS 1070- Chamber Choir I and goes up to MUS-1073, Chamber Choir IV.  In total you could receive up to 4 credits if you register for all four levels of  Chamber Singers.  These courses are offered every Fall and Spring Semester.  Below is a list of the course and section numbers for the Fall 2005 Semester.
