Trained and certified truck drivers, electricians,
ventilation and heating specialists, and other
trades specialists are desperately needed to
maintain and grow our community. Employers
have an urgent need for an increase in their
skilled workforce. With your financial
contribution, CSM can train the workforce that
builds and maintains our community.
Funds will be used to:
- build a multi-skill lab for trade courses in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and heating and air conditioning and equip a dedicated computer lab for blueprint reading, estimating, scheduling, and project management;
- develop a program providing experienced trade journeypersons with training in management;
- procure trucks, cars, and motorcycles and provide instructional simulators to increase hands-on practice prior to on-road training;
- provide tuition assistance in construction, transportation, computers, HVAC, and the trades, for students who demonstrate financial need while training for careers.
