The Next 50 Years
The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is embarking on its 50th anniversary and
as president of CSM, I am proud of what this community has accomplished in those 50 years. Since 1958,
we have graduated more than 15,000 students. In 2006, our students transferred to colleges in 41 states
across the country.
Our students accomplish great things. CSM students become your nurses, scientists, engineers, teachers, and trades professionals. We are proud of each and every one of them. It’s my desire and the hope of every faculty and staff member to help our students realize their full potential.
In addition to celebrating our growth and success, we are positioning the college for the next 50 years by launching the largest fundraising campaign in college history. If we are going to meet the needs and workforce demands of our community, we need your help.
The College of Southern Maryland’s Foundation is taking us to the next level with this $5 million campaign. The money raised during the “Campaign for the Next 50 Years” will be an investment in scholarships, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and programming for our students.
