The Talons Robotics Team tied for 10th in the 2013 World Championship, 16th out of 52 colleges and universities from 9 countries. The Talons Robotics Team finished 28th in tournament play, 5th in Programming Skills, and 4th in Robot Driver Skills, ahead of top U.S. engineering schools’ teams from Purdue University, University of Florida and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

CSM is also a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance--recognized by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Earn Transferable Credits

CSM has more than 50 guaranteed transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities.

CSM graduates who transfer maintain a higher grade point average (GPA) than those that start at a university with a 2.8 GPA.

Associate of Science in Engineering (ASE) and Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) transfer degrees are accepted at any Maryland public college or university as a junior with no loss of credits.

More than 1,980 students transferred to 226 different colleges in 46 states in 2015. Transfer destinations included Harvard, Howard, Virginia Tech, Clemson, George Washington University, Florida Institute of Technology, University of Maryland College Park, George Mason, Salisbury, Virginia Commonwealth University, and more.
