Tiffany Gill, Assistant Professor, Health Sciences Division, Program Coordinator for the Medical Laboratory Technology Program

Tiffany Gill is the medical laboratory technology (MLT) program coordinator located on the La Plata Campus. She has a bio-chemistry degree from Immaculata University, a master’s degree from Ashford University, and is a certified Medical Technologist (MT). Gill joined the Health Sciences Division from Washington Hospital Center where she taught clinical chemistry at its School of Medical Technology, trained employees, and helped senior management create a new work culture of excellence.

The College of Southern Maryland is collaborating with Southern Maryland healthcare agencies to provide counseling and opportunities for students interested in clinical laboratory science. This profession is expected to increase in demand. The MLT program prepares students to become an integral part of the clinical laboratory team where they will evaluate the clinical significance of patient specimen results.

Gill creates an engaging classroom through her enthusiastic teaching methods and experience. She enjoys helping students achieve their full potential and is working to facilitate additional clinical opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and practical experience.

  1. The MLT program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

  2. Program Outcome Highlight: CSM graduates have an MLT (ASCP) certification pass rate of 100%.

  3. Faculty members are certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
