Academic Programs

Science
Now is the perfect time to get your start in the field of biology or physical sciences such as chemistry. Employment of biological scientists is projected to grow much faster than the average. As biotechnological research and development continues to drive job growth there are exciting opportunities for biologists and chemists. These scientists can work in areas such as medicine and pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and environmental science.

Environmental management is another rapidly growing interdisciplinary field that is focused on the application of scientific principles and knowledge of regulations within a business enterprise or public agency. While a PhD is usually necessary for independent research, a bachelor’s or master’s degree is sufficient for some jobs in applied research, product development, management, or inspection. Many with a bachelor’s degree in biological or physical sciences enter medical, dental, veterinary, or other health profession schools.
