Register for Classes
The following steps will assist you in registering for classes.

1. Determine your student status (credit or continuing education student)
To register for classes, you must first determine if you are a credit-seeking student or a continuing education student. Credit-seeking students are students that take courses that earn credits toward degree programs. Continuing education students take courses that do not earn credits toward degree programs, but may earn ceus.
The IT Certification Preparation Classes Web page may help you determine if you are a credit or continuing education student.
2. Make a list of your classes
You can search for classes using the Schedule of Classes or Online Express Services. Need help? - Go to How to search for classes. Make a list of the classes you would like to register for including the Course Code Number.

3. For new students, complete the appropriate application
New students (students registering for the first time at CSM) are required to complete an application form prior to registering for classes.
Credit students:
For more information on how to get started, go to the Admissions Web site. After your admissions package is processed, you will receive a student ID number. Using your student ID number, you may login to Online Express Services. Online Express Services is the online course and student information utility used by CSM to register for classes (and more).
Continuing education students:
Go to Online Express Services, choose "Continuing Education Student", and read the payment policy information. Choose "First time Registration" from the left-hand menu. Upon successful application submittal and processing, your Login ID will be displayed on screen.
IMPORTANT: Record and store your Login ID for future use on Online Express Services.
You will then be directed to the registration screen. Enter the Course Code Number in the following format: e.g., ITS-8080-54438 (see step 2 for details).
4. Register for classes
Group registrations, please contact the Corporate Center for registration details.
Choose from the registration options below:
Option 1: Register online using Online Express Services
* Students under the age of 16 cannot register online.
* You will need your Online Express Services Login ID to register online.
To use Online Express Services, follow the "Do It Online" link below, choose your student status, and read the payment policy information.
Credit students:
Choose "Registration" from the left-hand menu. Click "Search and Register." You will be asked for your Login ID and password. Once logged in, follow the screens to register for courses.
Continuing education students:
* New students - See the directions under step 3 above.
* Returning students - Choose "Returning Student Registration" from
the left-hand menu. You will be asked for your Login ID and password.
Once logged in, follow the screens to register for courses. Enter the
Course Code Number in the following format: e.g., ITS-8080-54438 (see step 2
for details).

Option 2: Register on campus
Register onsite at the following campuses:
- La Plata Campus - AD building, center lobby
- Leonardtown Campus - C105
- Prince Frederick Campus - Flagship building, Room 101
- Waldorf Center - Room 101

Option 3: FAX the registration form - CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES ONLY
This option is only available to students registering for continuing education classes.

- Payment must be made by credit card (Mastercard, VISA), or provide tuition assistance paperwork.

Option 4: Mail the completed and signed registration form with total payment - CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES ONLY
This option is only available to students registering for continuing education classes.

- Forms must be received at least one week prior to the start date of the course.
- Payment must be included, or provide tuition assistance paperwork.
