 Mission Statement

The Division of Languages and Literature empowers students in their personal, academic, and professional lives by both expanding their knowledge of language and enhancing their skills in using it.  It provides an opportunity to pursue a high-quality, post-secondary education program and course work with content specialization aimed at transfer preparation. The division offers developmental as well as college-level courses, stressing competency in communication skills, critical thinking, and knowledge of literature and culture.
