Prince Frederick Campus Library Services
The library's resources include reference materials, access to books and periodicals through interlibrary loans and computer databases, audiovisual materials,
telecourse materials, computer databases, a course reserve collection, and Internet access.
Reference Collection: The library's reference collection includes a variety of dictionaries, thesauri, atlases, and MLA style manuals. All reference
materials are for in-library use only. Reference assistance is available whenever the library is open. You may come in or call (410) 586-3056 to get reference assistance.
Audiovisual Materials: The library's audiovisual collection is composed of videotapes for use in the library and classrooms only.
Telecourse Materials: Telecourse materials including syllabi, a master set of all telecourse tapes, and orientation tapes (available one week after orientation)
are available for use in the Learning Resource Center. Students who miss orientation may have their telecourse tapes sent to the Prince Frederick campus for pickup by contacting the
Learning Resource Center at (410) 586-3056 or (301) 855-1211 ext. 628.
Course Reserves: Faculty may place materials related to their courses in a special reserve collection for restricted borrowing. Either library or
personally owned materials may be placed on reserve. Materials on course reserve circulate for differing amounts of time, ranging from "library use only" up to 1 week.
Telecourse tapes are shelved with course reserves. Fines for overdue reserve materials are $1 per day.
Interlibrary Loan: The library can order almost any book, periodical article or ERIC document for you from another library. For periodical articles, allow up to
1 week; for books up to 2 weeks; and for ERIC documents up to 3 weeks for delivery. Most interlibrary loans are free of charge.
ID Cards
Student ID cards are distributed at the Campus Center Office. New ID cards are issued at the beginning of the fall semester for all students enrolled at CSM. In the spring and summer
semesters new ID cards are issued only for new students. Returning students need to come to the Center Office to have their cards updated. If you lose your ID card, you may order a
replacement there. It may take up to one week to get a replacement card.
