myCSMD

Single sign-on for online courses, registration and more.

On September 30, CSM launched the first phase of its new Web site with myCSMD, a single sign-on solution to college services including:

• myOnline Services
• myWebCT (Blackboard)
• Library resources
• Password management

Previously, faculty, staff and students needed to remember several passwords and usernames to access these services. With myCSMD, you only have to remember one.

How to find your username

Your username is your old Online Services ID.  In most cases, this was also your WebCT username.

You can use your ID number to find your username in Online Services - Must have ID number (see below).

Hint: Your username is usually first initial first name, first initial middle name and your last name. Example:  Chris Joe Smith — cjsmith

How to find your password/ID number

Passwords were reset to your 7-digit Student ID or Employee ID. Once you have successfully logged into your account with your ID number, you can change your password to something easier to remember.

Your ID number must be seven digits. If your Student ID number appears to have only 5 or 6-digits, ADD one or more zeros ‘0’ to the beginning of your number when entering your Password for the first time. For example:  Student ID - 123456, please enter as 0123456.

You can find your ID number on:

• Student ID Card (available at any CSM Library) - The number is located on the back of the card under the bar code.
• Admissions Letter (Credit Students Only)
• Registration Statement - Upper left hand side
• Bill
• CSM Employees can find it on a Pay Stub
• Continuing Education students can complete an Update Contact Information Form (PDF, 148 KB) to have your ID number mailed to you. To register in the meantime, please go to Online Services or complete a registration form (PDF, 52 KB) and fax it to 301-934-7698.

Note: A Student's ID Number cannot be requested over the phone or e-mail as regulated by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

If you are unable to locate your Student ID Number, you can request it by submitting the Update Contact Information form by fax or mail. You may also request your Student ID Number in person by presenting a photo ID at the CSM Information Center / Express Counter.

 

 

How it works

Once you enter myCSMD, you will enter your username and password. You will then have access to your services.
