Student Clinic

Massage student clinics provide opportunity for students at all skill levels to practice and gain skills in a supervised clinical setting. If you are available to receive massage from all skill sets, including students learning basic skills to advanced students and will provide feedback on student skills as appropriate to a learning environment, you may submit your Massage Pre-Screening Form online to the clinic coordinator. This clinic is offered to give the massage students supervised experience providing massage. You must be 18 years or older to sign up. The student clinic will be offering massages to faculty, staff, and current students only. Documentation of current status will be required before a massage will be provided. No exceptions.

The Massage Students will be supervised by a clinic coordinator who is a Licensed Massage Therapist and by Tara McManaway, M.Div., LMT (MD 01632), Coordinator of the Massage Therapy Program. Feel free to contact her if you have any questions. Appointments are scheduled first come, first serve for the available times. Opportunity for massages will only be scheduled if you fill out the Massage Pre-Screening Form in its entirety.

Please be patient as we work to schedule appointments in the order in which they are received. Calling or e-mailing will not speed up your time to appointment.

Due to the popularity of our Massage Therapy Student Clinic, there are a limited number of appointments over the academic year. We may not be able to get to your form until well into the academic year or until the student skill set matches your needs. If you are unable to accept the time slot offered when you are contacted, you will be placed back in queue and may be contacted at a later time.

Thank you for supporting our College of Southern Maryland Massage Therapy Student Clinic.
