BUS-9580 Real Estate Principles and Practices for Salesperson License

This intensive 60-hour course meets Maryland state requirements for pre-licensing education prior to taking the state license exam for real estate salespersons. All topics relevant to the industry and the state exam will be covered in detail. The Maryland Real Estate Commission requires all students to attend all hours of each commission-approved course. Upon successful completion of the course, the candidate may sit for the Maryland Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Exam. The college does not administer the licensure examination for salespersons or brokers. Upon successful completion of the pre-licensing course, candidates' names will be submitted to Psychological Systems, Inc. (PSI). PSI is the authorized testing service for this exam. PSI will notify qualified candidates of the date, time, and location of the examination via email. Examinations will be offered each regular business day at test centers. Textbooks required.

This course meets the requirements for home inspection pre-licensure for the State of Maryland as a provision of law under the Business Occupational and Professions Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, ' 16-3A-03(1). The home inspection profession has grown rapidly over the last several years. More homebuyers use home inspectors to evaluate the condition of their prospective purchases. This course covers the basics of home inspection as required to be a licensed home inspector in the State of Maryland. These topics include the following systems: structural, exterior, interior, roofing, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, insulation and ventilation, fireplace and solid burning systems, and heating. Students must also pass a test given by DLLR in addition to successfully completing this class before applying for their license. Textbook required.

AVN-5020 Remote Pilot Test Preparation

To legally operate a drone for any business purpose, FAA regulations now require remote pilot certification. This course prepares you to successfully pass the comprehensive FAA Knowledge test, which includes general aviation topics in addition to drone-specific information. Topics covered include regulations relating to small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUas); airspace classification, interpretation of sectional navigation charts, operating requirements, flight restriction; aviation weather sources and effects; small unmanned aircraft loading and performance; emergency procedures; aeronautical decision-making and crew resource management; radio communication procedures; physiological effects of drugs and alcohol; airport operation and maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.
