The Student Success Center provides tutoring at all of our campuses, including the Waldorf Center, free of charge. Tutoring is offered in a variety of subjects including English, Math, and Biology. In addition to face-to-face tutoring, online tutoring services in the areas of Math, writing, ESL, accounting, economics, and chemistry are available in cooperation with Smarthinking. ThinkingStorm, an additional online tutoring service, offers math, chemistry, and an online writing center. The tutoring on campus is walk-in, no appointment necessary. Check the schedule often for most current tutor availability.
Students enrolled in MTH-0900T and MTH 1000T may access the labs on any campus. In order to have the maximum allotted time, students should plan to begin a quiz at least 30 minutes prior to closing time and should begin an exam at least 60 minutes prior to closing time.

Documents for Tutors
The College of Southern Maryland Tutor Handbook is a resource for tutors that will aid in your growth as a tutor and direct you in the best methods to help the students reach their learning, personal, academic, and professional goals. The Student Success Center hopes this handbook will provide answers to questions you may have as a SSC tutor. Please review the material as soon as possible and keep it on hand as a resource to refer to when necessary.
Submit Tutoring Log Form to SSC Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or by hand with information on each student with whom you work for each day you work. These forms should be submitted by the end of each week in which you work.
