Description:

Upon successful completion of this course, students qualify for YMCA, PADI and SSI Open Water Scuba Diver certification. Upgrading of YMCA, PADI and SSI, Open Water Scuba Diver to Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver certification is available through this course. Students must have average swimming ability and be 12 years of age or older. Certain past or present medical conditions may require a student to obtain a medical examination. SPECIAL NOTE: Additional expenses include mask, fins, snorkel, textbook, open water dive fees, and related expenses. This course is combined with credit course WFS-2210. Only registered students may be in the pool area during classes. Spectators may view classes via closed- circuit TV in a designated classroom in the PE building.
