Marketing Services

Our Standards

The Marketing Department values quality, expertise, responsiveness, commitment, and originality and strives to uphold these standards in our interactions and in our work. MAR aims to present CSM, its offerings and services with clarity and consistency and is providing excellence in executing projects, from start to finish.

Our Offices

MAR includes the following offices: Marketing; Creative Services; Web Services; Mail, Distribution, and Fulfillment Services.

Creative Services (CRE)

The CRE team produces marketing materials to support all areas of the college with a special emphasis on brand management, recruitment and enrollment efforts, program offerings and special events.

Examples of print and digital pieces include: program brochures, direct mail, posters, fliers, signage, brochures, logos, booklets, invitations, event support materials, e-blasts, e-newsletters, landing pages, course schedules, etc.

We also provide CSM branded templates for departmental use for smaller projects (signage, posters, PowerPoint presentations, and fliers) and training to educate staff and faculty regarding best practices. They graphic design and production process begins with a marketing project request or a marketing meeting depending on the scope of the project.

Web Services (WEB)

The Web Team supports the College of Southern Maryland community with the maintenance and promotion of the college on its main website and other associated websites. The Web Services team manages the administration of many web services, including the college's content management system, online calendar, online catalog, interactive campus maps, as well as monitoring and reporting on the college website's analytics as part of quality assurance, accessibility, and digital marketing campaigns. Mail, Distribution, and Fulfillment Services (MAI)

The MAI team supports the college by providing strategic guidance in the distribution of marketing materials to the internal and external CSM community as well as overseeing the distribution of USPS mail, internal mail, mass e-mail, Everyone E-mail, and package delivery.

Additionally, MAI monitors marketing inventory levels and requests, and liaisons with XEROX regarding the daily operation of the print shop. MAI also provides list services both to target your audience and to cleanse any existing lists your area may hold.
