Course Description

Discover how to tell your story through social media. Learn best practices in storytelling, how to effectively craft your stories to connect with donors and supporters, spread awareness, increase fundraising results and volunteer recruitment, and supercharge your advocacy efforts. Learn how to find those compelling stories and examine examples of powerful storytelling featured on various social media platforms.

Instructor Information

Kelsey PearsonKelsey Pearson is the director of Marketing at Sagepoint Senior Living Services in La Plata, MD where she handles the development, coordination, and execution of Sagepoint’s social media strategy.

Prior to working at Sagepoint, Pearson served as the marketing coordinator for both the Charles County Government’s Department of Economic Development and the Center for Children. She has also operated as a marketing consultant to assist small businesses with their marketing activities.

Pearson holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business and a master’s degree in contemporary communications from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She  is a native of Southern Maryland.
