Courses Taught
I teach the obstetrics courses in the nursing program:
- NUR-2350 Professional Nursing Practice: Care of the Person with Childbearing Health Needs
- NUR-2350L Clinical Application of Professional Nursing Practice: Care of the Person with Childbearing Health Needs
About
I was born and raised in St. Mary's County and graduated from CSM's nursing program in 2001. Most of my nursing career has been in obstetrics nursing and has been spent taking care of the people of my local community. That makes me proud as a nurse! I now have the pleasure of teaching our future nurses that will work in that same community.
I have two daughters, who both make me very proud!
In my free time, I try to get to the beach as much as I can. It is my favorite place to unwind.
Educational Background
I received my associate degree in nursing from CSM in 2001. In 2016, I received my master’s degree in nursing education from Walden University.
Q&A
I believe that the more students are having fun and relaxed, the more they will learn. I enjoy immersing students in scenarios that help them apply the content that we are learning in class. I like to mix lecture with learning activities that make the classroom fun and relaxed.
