Energy Systems Technology NRC Scholarship

The Associate Degree of Applied Science in Energy Systems Technology (EST) Degree explores the principles and technologies of power generation and also provides an overview of the knowledge and skills needed to perform general maintenance on equipment used in power generation facilities and plants. This degree focuses on fossil fuel (such as coal, natural gas, and oil), nuclear, and renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro) technologies.

The EST degree has two areas of concentration:

  • Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical
  • Mechanical

This degree has both academic and industrial focus, granting graduates the basic knowledge and skills that are essential for an entry level maintenance technician at a facility or plant.
