Radiography and Respiratory Therapy Program Update

Please note the following updates for the Radiography and Respiratory Therapy programs:

Radiography

Twelve (12) credits from the following courses must be completed at CSM with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 by the end of the Spring semester in order to meet the eligibility requirements for the articulation agreement with Prince George’s Community College:

  • BIO 2070 and BIO 2070L, Human Anatomy and Physiology I, lecture and lab (4 credits)
  • BIO 2080 and BIO 2080L, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, lecture and lab (4 credits)
  • ENG 1010, Composition and Rhetoric (3 credits)
  • MTH 1115, Applied College Algebra (3 credits) OR MTH 1120, College Algebra (3 credits)
  • HTH 1100, Medical Terminology (1 credit)

Highly recommended to be completed before transferring:

  • PSY 1010, General Psychology (3 credits)
  • ENG 1020, Composition and Literature (3 credits)
  • COM 1250, Introduction to Interpersonal Communication (3 credits)

It is better to have all general education courses completed prior to transferring to PGCC.  A core grade point average will be calculated on the following courses:  ENG 1010, BIO 2070, BIO 2070L, BIO 2080, BIO 2080L, and general education math.  Students may repeat a course one time.  Withdrawals and audits count as a repeat.

The ATI TEAS (Allied Health) must be completed prior to April 1 with the following scores:  Proficient or higher in the ATI Preparedness Category, minimum reading level of 69% or higher, and the minimum recommended adjusted score is 65%.  Applicants who exceed the minimum requirements are more competitive.  The ATI TEAS (Allied Health) may be taken twice a year.
