Ages 5-6
Intro to Engineering is a great way to introduce a young scientific mind to the future of a high-technology world. Learn to build things, solve problems, and make systems work better using scientific and technological strategies. Students will learn the essentials of engineering and simple machines. They will be introduced to the concepts of pulleys, levers, gears, light, and sound sensors and identify tools that engineers use and the training needed to do their projects.
Discover and explore different forms of art. Using your imagination, create drawings, paintings, sculptures, and more. Learn the aspects of color, shape, composition, perspective, and form. Students will then apply the concepts during hands-on projects. Please bring an old t-shirt or smock to class.
As your child embarks on their academic journey, learning to read will be at the center of the skills he or she will seek to acquire. Intro to Reading is designed to help to develop and improve basic reading skills. Areas of instruction will include spelling, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Students will improve reading fluency, competency, and overall reading independence.
Calling all young gardeners! Get ready to get dirty and learn about the science secrets that make things grow. Investigate plant anatomy through dissection and learn how plant physiology is affected by its environment over time. Plant a garden or a terrarium and make all your friends who missed this class "green with envy."
In this fun and entertaining class, learners will explore different social studies themes, including history, geography, and the American government.
Ages 7-10
The inside of your body is an amazing place. In this course, students will discuss how our body is a complex, remarkable machine with thousands of different parts all working together. Students will dive into the intricacies of the human body that allow us to move, swallow, and more!
In this class, students will develop their computer skills by learning basic keyboarding skills, internet safety, computer maintenance, and the benefits of different internet browsers and search engines. This course will also teach computer terminology while exploring the fundamentals of computer functions.
This Elementary Engineering course introduces students to the basics of engineering and analyzes the major impact engineers have had on the world as we know it. Students will learn concepts of force, measurements, construction, design, and much more. Students will be challenged to create unique machines using their knowledge of technology and design. This exciting hands-on engineering class uses LEGO Education building materials.
Writing is one of the most important skills needed to succeed academically. In this course, students will learn practical skills for effective writing. Practice writing and gain confidence in recognizing and correcting grammatical errors and understanding the fundamentals of sentence structure, punctuation, and word usage. Learn techniques for generating divergent ideas for compositions and story writing.
Did you know that there are about 400,000 plant species on Earth? Students will observe, dissect, journal, and discuss their way through the world of plants in this investigative science course.
Students will explore simple grammar and vocabulary as well as conversational topics including greetings, names, numbers, colors, and telling time. Role-playing opportunities will be provided. A brief introduction of Hispanic and Latino cultures throughout the world will also be discussed. All materials are included in the cost of the class.

Elementary Physics is designed for young scientists interested in finding out how things work. Students will take a closer look at the mysteries of magnetism, the enigma of energy, the lure of light, the facts of forces, and other physics principles.
Ages 11-14
Whether you are new to computers or want to brush up on your computer skills, this is the class for you. This computer software course is designed for students who wish to learn basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Students will also work with the basics of a PC's file structure, folders, online help menus, and much more.
The inside of your body is an amazing place. You have cells, tissues, organs, and systems working together to keep you alive. In this course, students will explore the neurological, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems along with the senses, and the digestive and musculoskeletal systems.
In Basic Engineering, the student will take on fun, hands-on challenges like a real engineer. Every session will inspire the students as they experiment with important STEM concepts while creating unique machines using their knowledge of technology and design. This class encourages teamwork, critical thinking skills, and an early love of STEM. This exciting hands-on engineering class uses LEGO Education building materials.
This introductory Spanish course explores simple grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills. Students will learn the fundamentals of the language. Conversational topics will include greetings, names, numbers, colors, and telling time. Students will learn simple grammar rules and vocabulary building to begin to write basic sentences. Role-playing opportunities will be provided.
Do you have great ideas, but you can't seem to put those ideas on paper? Learn how to become a more independent, confident, and fluent writer. You will learn the basic steps that any writer can use to go from a concept idea, through draft and editing, and to the final literary masterpiece.
Did you know plants can be used as a source of medicine, oxygen, and food? In this interactive and engaging plant study course, students will learn about the plants in their environment and understand the plant parts and their function, and the process of photosynthesis. Students will observe, dissect, journal, and discuss their way through the world of plants.
Enhancing creativity using various media is the focus of this creative arts class. Students will use paint, charcoal, pastels, and clay to express themselves in artworks of their own creation. Many master and contemporary artists will be studied as well, along with appropriate art vocabulary. Please bring an old t-shirt or smock to class. All other class materials will be provided in the cost of the class.
Students will discover the world of physics with a vast range of experiments, science fair projects, interesting facts, amazing videos, and much more. Learn about gravity, electricity, magnets, gears, and all kinds of interesting physics topics.
