Prince Frederick Campus Fitness Center Closure

Prince Frederick Campus Fitness Center to Close December 20, 2019

Effective December 20, 2019, the Fitness Center at the Prince Frederick Campus of the College of Southern Maryland will close. The Wellness, Fitness and Aquatics services and programs will continue as usual at the college’s La Plata and Leonardtown Fitness and Aquatics Centers.

The decision to close the Prince Frederick Fitness Center is based on operating costs and the limited use of the center. The Fitness Center located in Building B, Room B-102, will be repurposed after December 20, 2019.

All exercise equipment will be removed and the space will be reconfigured to accommodate personal enrichment dance classes. These courses will begin to be scheduled in the Spring, 2020, with registration anticipated opening January 9. 2020. For information about these interest-based classes as well as hours of operation of the Fitness Centers and pools located at the La Plata and Leonardtown campuses, click here or call 301-539-4760.
