Inspirational Speaker: Tameka Montgomery
President and CEO of Core Strategy Partners Inc.

Tameka MontgomeryTameka Montgomery is an expert in creating and running entrepreneurship programs. She has spent the last 17 years developing and delivering award-winning programs delivered across the nation.

Tameka Montgomery is the president and CEO of Core Strategy Partners Inc., a consultancy that helps corporations, governments, and nonprofits develop, discover, and implement effective strategies to strengthen and advance entrepreneurial development for women, youth, and underrepresented entrepreneurs.

Prior to founding Core Strategy Partners Inc., Tameka served as an appointee for President Obama leading the U.S. Small Business Administration’s, Office of Entrepreneurial Development. In this capacity, she was responsible for a budget of more than $160 million to drive entrepreneurship training programs and policies that supported the nation’s 28 million small businesses.

In 2017, Tameka launched the podcast, “Raising Entrepreneurs: A Parent’s Guide to Fostering an Entrepreneurial Mindset”. Tameka is leading a movement of parents who are committed to actively supporting and encouraging their child’s entrepreneurial spirit, talents, and skills. To further this effort, Tameka has founded the Montgomery County Children’s Business Fair, a one-day marketplace where kids ages 6-16 have an opportunity to sell products and services that they have created. She believes that today’s youth are tomorrow’s business innovators and leaders; and experiencing entrepreneurship gives them a head start on cultivating the skills and mindset to be the next generation of changemakers.

Tameka is a graduate of Spelman College and Columbia University and she holds an honorary doctorate in entrepreneurship from Johnson and Wales University. Tameka and her husband Jonathan live and homeschool their three young sons in Takoma Park, Maryland.
