Work-Based Learning for Students

We are so excited to connect you with what you’re learning in your classes to your future career!

What is Work-Based Learning?

Work-Based Learning (WBL) is an educational strategy that combines classroom instruction with practical work experience directly related to a student’s program of study. It is designed to provide authentic learning experiences to students by linking academic, technical and professional skills.

Requirements

To qualify for the Work-Based Learning program, interested candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Be a current, actively enrolled student at CSM
  • Maintain a 2.0+ GPA

Benefits of WBL

  • Students benefit from this program by earning money, receiving on-the-job training, and gaining relevant work experience. A Work-Based Learning position will enhance your resume and provide you with an opportunity to create employer connections.
