"Casual for a Cause Fridays" for Employees

To promote donations to our Hawk Feeder micro-pantry year-round, CSM is launching "Casual for a Cause" Fridays. Staff and faculty are encouraged to wear blue jeans on Fridays and bring donations in for the Hawk Feeder micro-pantry box on the campus of their choice. Participants can pick up a casual for a cause sticker inside the Hawk Feeder boxes to wear proudly on Fridays.

CSM prides itself on the professional atmosphere it maintains and the positive image that employees present as representatives of the college. Employees should take into account any meetings or special events scheduled before participating in a casual for a cause Day. Please note that jeans worn should still be workplace appropriate and professional. Dark rinse jeans strongly preferred; faded jeans with rips or athletic pants will not be allowed.

Hawk Feeder Micro-Pantries

"Take What You Need — Give What You Can"

The CSM Student Association, in partnership with the President's Council, has installed micro-pantries, named Hawk Feeders, on each of CSM's four campuses to help address short-term basic needs sometimes experienced by our students and community members. The free-standing cabinets allow people to leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Staff and faculty are encouraged to fill the Hawk Feeders with non-perishable food items and toiletries. The boxes operate on the simple concept of "Take what you need, give what you can."
