Membership Requirements & How to Join

Students who have completed between nine and 30 credits by the end of the spring semester and have earned a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 may receive an invitation in the mail. Once nominated, you can sign up through the National Society of Leadership and Success website. There is a one-time fee of $85 to join.

If you don’t meet the qualifications but still want to join, you can ask to be nominated by a student or faculty member at least a month before the program starts in September and February each year.

Once you join, you must follow these steps:

  • Attend the orientation and Leadership Training Day
  • Attend three Success Networking Team (SNT) meetings
  • Submit three S.M.A.R.T. goals for approval (must attend SNT meeting to do this)
  • Attend or watch three speakers from the NSLS speaker series.

The NSLS also offers an online chapter as an option for students who might not be geographically close to campus or prefer a more flexible option.
