Want to know what your Student Government Association has been up to? How about what our clubs and organizations have been doing during the semester? Do you have a great idea for an event or want to let the Student Government Association know about any concerns you may have? Come to a Virtual Student Body Meeting and learn more about what has been going on this semester and much more. We hope to see you there!


Interested in starting or renewing a club?  It's easy...

  1. Gather at least 10 student members willing to participate in club activities.  Members must have a valid student ID card and enrolled in credit classes.
  2. Obtain an advisor.  Advisors must be employees of the College of Southern Maryland and approved by the Student Life Office.
  3. Submit a completed Club Registration Form.
  4. Develop your club constitution and bylaws with the new members to help govern your organization.

Engineering Club

  • Membership: Open to all students
  • Purpose: Provide students with a forum for STEM outreach and activities, Provide study groups and tutoring, and invite guest speakers to present to the club

La Plata Student Association

  • Advisor: Melissa Chambers

  • Membership: Election based positions. Must meet minimum requirements.
  • Purpose: The Student Association (SA) will provide opportunities for co-curricular and extra-curricular education and personal development of students and to provide a diverse program of activities, programs, and services at the La Plata Campus

Leonardtown Student Association

  • Advisor: Jennifer Van Cory

  • Membership: Election based positions. Must meet minimum requirements.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

  • Membership: Open to all students
  • Purpose: To stimulate and develop student interest in engineering, to strive to promote participation at all levels of responsibility in the field of engineering by the black communities, and to endeavor in the advancement of black professional engineers within the individual engineering disciplines

Nursing Student Association

  • Purpose: To organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure to practice nursing, to convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession

  • Membership: Any credit student on the Prince Frederick Campus / 2.0 GPA requirement
