Graduation Audit Process

Degrees and certificates are not automatically awarded.

Once you have completed the requirements for a degree or certificate, you must meet with an Academic Advisor for a graduation audit and to complete the application for graduation by the published deadline. During this visit, an Academic Advisor will check degree requirements against your completed courses and in-progress courses. Both the student and advisor will sign the application form, and it is submitted to the Office of the Registrar for another review.

It is the Registrar who determines whether or not you will be awarded the degree or certificate; and further communication will come from that office.  You can decide whether or not to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Every semester, CSM holds Grad Fest.

RSVP to Grad Fest so you can:

  • Apply for graduation
  • Speak to an Academic Advisor
  • Receive information about announcements and caps and gowns; and
  • Pose for a free graduation portrait!

If you are unable to attend Grad Fest, please contact the Academic, Career and Transfer Services Office of your choice to make arrangements to complete your graduation audit.
