Tri-County Job and Career Fair

Make connections with area employers and businesses from throughout Southern Maryland, and learn how to rise up the job ladder at this annual event! Attendees will be able to network with area professionals for current/future job openings, receive walk-in resumé assistance, and practice their elevator pitches.

We are proud of your accomplishments and are excited to celebrate your success as you walk across the stage to accept your diploma during the Spring Commencement Ceremony on May 18.

If you plan to walk during the Commencement Ceremony, you must meet with an academic advisor before the March 15 deadline to submit a graduation application.

CSM students who complete an associate's degree have guaranteed admissions to many colleges and universities such as York College of Pennsylvania. Students can transfer up to 75 transferable credits from CSM to York to earn a bachelor’s in business, education, psychology, and more! Check out our other transfer partnerships here.

Enter a drawing for a $50 Visa Card by participating in the Pulse of Southern Maryland Opinion Poll. All students who participate in the opinion telephone poll will be entered into a drawing to win one of four Visa Cards worth $50 each. This is an excellent hands-on opportunity to gain self-confidence and to learn to deal with the public as a professional.

To be matched with other scholarships based on your programs of study or other criteria, check out CSM’s Online Scholarship Finder. The priority deadline for many of these scholarships is March 31.

2+2 Transfer Scholarship
The Maryland Higher Education Commission offers the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship to Maryland transfer students. This scholarship is offered to Maryland community college graduates who plan to transfer in state. Qualifying students may be awarded up to $2,000 annually and the scholarship can be renewed over the course of three years of study or six semester of study, whichever is longer. The deadline to apply for the 2+2 Transfer Scholarship is August 31, 2017. For more information on this or any other scholarships and grants offered through the state of Maryland, please visit

Discover your strongest learning style and how to apply it to how you learn in class and study.

Learn different note taking methods, to include: Cornell, outline, mind mapping, charting, and sentence.

April 4: How to Succeed After an “F”
Always been a good student and now you are questioning yourself? It is common for even the strongest of students to receive an F on a test or paper at some point during their college career. Don’t be hard on yourself; learn from it and move forward.

The CSM OneCard is your official Student ID and a Discover® pre-paid debit card as well. The OneCard gives you instant access to financial aid (effective Spring 2015) and/or campus funds (Hawk Bucks) in one convenient card.

If you're receiving a college refund and would like it available on your OneCard or deposited directly into your bank account, you will need to log in to your Money Network® account and authorize CSM. With all of the demands of modern life, few of us are immune to some occasional anxiety. However, it is important to recognize when normal anxiety crosses the threshold into something more serious. When those anxious feelings persist and begin to interfere with enjoyment of daily life, it is time to seek out some support. Schedule an appointment with CSM Counseling Services. Our counselors offer help to students struggling with anxiety, among many other issues.
