Help Others Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!

Help Others Eat, Drink, and Be Merry!

The CSM Student Association, has installed micro-pantries, named Hawk Feeders, on each of CSM's four campuses to help address short-term basic needs experienced by some of our students and community members. The free-standing cabinets allow people to leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Staff and faculty are encouraged to fill the Hawk Feeders with non-perishable food items and toiletries. The boxes operate on the simple concept of "take what you need, give what you can."

Don’t be a Scrooge this holiday season. Trade your textbooks for cold hard cash to spend over the holidays during CSM’s Textbook Buyback. Visit the CSM College Store at a campus near you December 11 - 20 to sell your used textbooks. You must have a valid Student ID card. Visit for more details.

Please note, non-semester College Store hours begin December 11, 2017 through January 13, 2018; 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at all three CSM College Store locations.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year?

Despite the festive proclamations, the holiday season has the potential to deliver the gift no one wants–STRESS! One of the best antidotes to midwinter angst is realizing that you are in control and that it’s up to you to set limits on your time, your finances, and others’ expectations of you. Another is to let go of your own expectationsespecially the expectation of perfection. Instead, try to focus on the small joys of the season: a steaming mug of hot chocolate, a laugh with friends, or the sparkle of tiny lights. If you’re struggling with sadness or other thoughts and feelings that are more than you can manage on your own, seek out the help of a professional. CSM Counseling Services.
